1. Trial Lesson

Trial lessons, whether group or private, are offered at the prevailing rate of $80 per session. Payment must be made in advance and received prior to the start of the lesson.

Each student is entitled to one trial lesson only, regardless of the number of subjects. Worksheets covering up to two topics will be prepared and printed (PDF for online) specifically for the trial session.

2. Group Tuition

Group tuition is conducted only on weekends, in accordance with the Tuition Schedule. Each session is 120 minutes long and priced at $80. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of three students and are held onsite only—no online sessions are available.

Parents are required to pay for all scheduled lessons on a monthly basis. Any missed lessons must be made up within the same month. Replacement lessons are conducted onsite only, on weekdays during the following time slots:

• 5:20 pm – 7:00 pm

• 7:10 pm – 8:50 pm

Each replacement session is 100 minutes and conducted on a one-on-one basis.

Please note that frequent requests for replacement lessons may result in the discontinuation of tuition in the following month, due to the additional time, effort, and opportunity cost involved.

3. Private Tuition

Private tuition is available on both weekdays and weekends, in accordance with the Tuition Schedule. Each session is 100 minutes long and priced at $95. All classes are conducted on a one-on-one basis and may be held either onsite or online.

Parents are required to pay for all scheduled lessons on a monthly basis. Any missed lessons must be made up within the same month. Replacement lessons are conducted onsite or online, on weekdays during the following time slots:

• 5:20 pm – 7:00 pm

• 7:10 pm – 8:50 pm

Each replacement session is 100 minutes and conducted on a one-on-one basis.

4. Onsite Tuition

Parents are invited to observe live classes through Microsoft Teams. Please download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in advance. A meeting link will be shared in the group chat 5 minutes before the session begins.  No registration is required. For observation purposes, please keep your camera and microphone off—only the studio device will have its camera and microphone enabled.

To ensure safe student departures, three outdoor CCTVs monitor the exits after each lesson.

To help maintain a smooth transition between sessions, students are advised to wait for the Microsoft Teams link in the group chat before ringing the doorbell. While the studio is being cleaned and prepared, you may wait on the bench outside or on Level 1.

Lessons typically begin on time or up to 5 minutes early.

5. Online Tuition

Online tuition is available only for private tuition and will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. A meeting link will be shared in the group chat at least 5 minutes before the session begins. Students can join directly through their laptop browsers—no app installation is required.

Student should enter the session using their given name. Parents are welcome to observe and should also join using their given names.

To ensure an effective and engaging learning experience, students are required to keep their webcam (facing themselves) and microphone turned on at all times. Productive lessons rely on active, two-way communication between tutor and student.

6. Tuition Fees

Tuition fees will remain fixed from the time of enrolment until the completion of the O-Levels/SEC, provided that tuition continues without interruption from the start of enrolment.

Parents will receive a monthly invoice detailing the tuition fees and any applicable discounts. Payment must be made before the commencement of lessons. Failure to make timely payment will result in the suspension or termination of all tuition services.

7. Tuition Materials

All tuition materials are compiled, printed, and bound into a book, provided exclusively to enrolled students. For online students, the book will be couriered to your mailing address at no additional cost.

• The first copy is issued free of charge.

• A replacement copy (if the original is lost) will incur a $47.50 fee, inclusive of courier charges.

As all materials are developed in-house, APEX Tuition Studio strictly prohibits any form of reproduction or photocopying, whether in digital or physical format.

8. Tuition Schedule

No lessons will be conducted on public holidays. The 2025 Academic Year will conclude on October 26, with no lessons scheduled in November. The 2026 Academic Year will commence on December 1.

9. Schoolwork Support

All tuition students have access to schoolwork support between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm daily. Students are welcome to send any questions—whether from school or tuition—to the designated WhatsApp group chat. All queries will be answered with explanations, typically within the same day.
