1. Trial Lesson

Trial lessons, whether group or private, are offered at the prevailing rate of $80 per session and must be paid in advance before the lesson begins. Each student is entitled to only one trial lesson, regardless of the number of subjects. Worksheets covering up to two topics will be prepared and provided for the session (PDF format for online lessons).

2. Private Tuition

Private tuition is available on both weekdays and weekends. Each session is 90 minutes long and priced at $85. All classes are conducted on a one-on-one basis and may be held either onsite or online.

3. Group Tuition

Group tuition is conducted only on weekends. Each session is 120 minutes long and priced at $80. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of three students and are held onsite only—no online sessions are available.

4. Payment & Cancellation Policy

Tuition fees must be paid monthly in advance for all scheduled lessons.  If a lesson is missed, the corresponding amount will be credited toward the following month’s fees. However, please be aware that frequent cancellations may lead to the suspension of lessons in the subsequent month, due to the opportunity cost and scheduling impact involved.

5. Onsite Tuition

Parents are welcome to observe live classes via Microsoft Teams; please download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in advance. A meeting link will be shared in the group chat approximately 5 minutes before the session begins—no registration is required. For observation purposes, kindly keep your camera and microphone off, as only the studio device will be enabled. To ensure student safety, three outdoor CCTVs monitor the exits after each lesson. To support a smooth transition between sessions, students are advised to wait for the Microsoft Teams link in the group chat before ringing the doorbell. While the studio is being cleaned and prepared, students may wait on the bench outside or on Level 1. Lessons typically begin on time or up to 5 minutes early.

6. Online Tuition

Online tuition is available exclusively for private sessions and will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, with a meeting link shared in the group chat at least 5 minutes before the session begins. Students can join directly through their laptop browsers—no app installation is necessary—and should enter the session using their given name. Parents are welcome to observe and are also asked to join using their given names. To ensure an effective and engaging learning experience, students must keep their webcam (facing themselves) and microphone on throughout the session, as productive lessons depend on active, two-way communication between tutor and student.

7. Tuition Fees

Tuition fees will remain fixed from the time of enrolment until the completion of the O-Levels/SEC, provided that lessons continue without interruption. Parents will receive a monthly invoice detailing the tuition fees and any applicable discounts, with payment required before the start of lessons. Failure to make timely payment may result in the suspension or termination of all tuition services.

8. Tuition Materials

All tuition materials are compiled, printed, and bound into a book provided exclusively to enrolled students. For online students, the book will be couriered to your mailing address at no additional cost. The first copy is issued free of charge; however, a replacement copy—if the original is lost—will incur a fee of $42.50. As all materials are developed in-house, APEX Tuition Studio strictly prohibits any form of reproduction or photocopying, whether in digital or physical format.

9. Schoolwork Support

All tuition students have access to schoolwork support between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm daily. Students are welcome to send any questions—whether from school or tuition—to the designated WhatsApp group chat. All queries will be answered with explanations, typically within the same day.
